Philosophy

Defining what a quality physical education program is has got to be the first place to start. Physical education, if by no other means, is the education of the physical body. So that means that in a quality physical education class the teacher should teach the what, how, and why we move. Besides teaching basic locomotor and non-locomotor movements to advanced skill development, the physical education teacher needs to teach the whole child. In other words, not only do we teach the physical body but the mental and social aspects as well.
